Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ

Dr. Bonazzi joined the Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà Department of Civil Engineering and Construction Engineering Management in 2025 as an Assistant Professor. Previously, she was a post-doctoral scholar in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at University of California, Davis. She completed her PhD at the University of Southern California, and she obtained both her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees at the University of Trento (Italy). Her research focuses on groundwater hydrology, investigating how fluid properties and porous medium heterogeneity affect fluid mixing and transport. She is also interested in transferring this fundamental knowledge to real-world applications in water management, and for this purpose she is currently investigating how numerical modeling of contaminant fate and transport can inform research efforts related to Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR) applications.
