However, during the ongoing pandemic, Dr. Pattnaik鈥檚 research has also encompassed the pandemic鈥檚 impact in this subject area. Dr. Pattnaik shares about her current research, 鈥淚 conducted a study with five early childhood teachers teaching in various kinds of early education programs in Southern California, that explored their experiences during the pandemic which I presented at a national conference in February 2021. I have collected data for a study with family childcare providers in LA county that explored their challenges and efforts during the pandemic. I have also chaired a thesis study that explored perceptions of teachers and parents in the U.S. and other countries on the impact of pandemic on children鈥檚 school readiness.鈥
